Finished Painting

I decided to change the bears. I wanted to portray a closer interaction between the mother and cub. January update: This painting sold last fall to a Montana firefighter. Congratulations to the new owner!

Finished Painting

Completed work. This oil is painted on a 16 inch by 20 inch wrap-around canvas. The 1 and 1/2 inch deep sides are painted in a rough repeat of the scarf band. "Before you paint a pear, sit down and eat one."

From The Studio

This black vase makes a stark contrast to the yellow pears and brilliant yellow/red scarf. Good basic start.

Made some changes in quilt and fur. After some drying time, this 12 inch by 16 inch oil painting will be varnished.
